Fostering Futures NY (FFNY) is a program of Welfare Research, Inc. (WRI), a nonprofit agency and an experienced provider of technical assistance to human services agencies.
Since its start as a pilot project in July 2014, community support has been a critical component of FFNY's success. FFNY has developed key relationships with local Departments of Social Services, foster care agencies, and community organizations. The mission of FFNY to make a direct and profound impact on the lives of youth in foster care has resonated with the community and we are fortunate to have their time, energy and resources. These ongoing partnerships have allowed us to recruit volunteer teams and provide foster families with much needed support throughout the Capital District.
FFNY has been supported by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services through its "Innovations in Foster Parent Recruitment" program (funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Children's Bureau) as well as through other private and public funding.
