PROJECT ASSISTANT (Full-Time or 80%)

Temporary Project Assistant for grant-funded position through September of 2021. Position located in Albany, NY.

Responsibilities of the position include:

  • Assist with implementation of agency work plans on various projects
  • Verify receipts and information from grant applicants on specific projects
  • Communicate with grant applicants as necessary to obtain or verify supporting information
  • Assist in tracking information in Excel as well as WRI’s accounting package (Quick Books)
  • Assist with check preparation and distribution
  • Other administrative duties as assigned

p WRI adheres to a 37.5-hour workweek. Position could be either full-time or 80% at the candidate’s
preference. Days and hours are somewhat flexible within normal business hours.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates’ degree (Bachelors’ preferred)
  • Experience in employment positions involving fiscal responsibility
  • Detail focus
  • Ability to work independently and complete projects in a timely manner
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in working well in a team environment, and treating colleagues and the public with respect and humility
  • Experience working in non-profit agencies and/or government desirable
  • Knowledge and skills in working with persons from diverse cultures and backgrounds

Pay Scale: $18 - $20/hour commensurate with experience

Hours: minimum of 30 and maximum of 37.5 hours per week Monday–Friday for the duration of the grant
